It is with immense sadness that we announce that Veronica Smith, one of MAA’s co-founders, passed away on 29th June 2024. She was an incredible driving force for the movement and will be greatly missed.

Veronica is survived by her husband, her daughter and granddaughter, and two stepdaughters and a stepson.

MAA will continue the fight for a Formal Apology for everyone affected by forced family separation.
