A contingent from MAA went to Bath for the preview screenings of the new Cillian Murphy film “Small Things Like These” which is based on the excellent book by Clare Keegan.
We handed out flyers and used our new pop-up banners to promote the campaign, raise awareness and encourage people to sign our petition.
The film is well worth seeing. Please note that it won’t be in cinemas for very long.
The UK release date is 1st November, 8th November internationally.
The story is set in 1985 and is a slow build account of the horrors of Mother and Baby homes in Ireland and the cruelties that were inflicted on the girls trapped in such places.
